Scholarship Fund:
The Clan Munro Association, U.S.A., awards scholarships to students of dancing, piping, drumming and fiddling who are 18 years old or younger and who have had a minimum of two years of experience in their specialty. Our bylaws state that our Association is charged with “the promotion and fostering of the Old Scottish customs, music, culture, arts and athletics in the United States”. Our organization accepts this charge with Scottish determination! Clan Munro Association proudly offers this opportunity to all students regardless of clan affiliation. Learn More >

DNA Project Fund:
The Clan Munro Association, USA, budgets, as well as accepts donations to the Munro DNA Project. This money is used to pay for Y-DNA testing of Scots, as well as those in the diaspora whose Munro ancestors were of historical significance:

  • certain Foulis-Munro chiefs and cadet branches, which includes those related to President James Monroe
  • descendants of William Munroe of Lexington, MA, who were of Revolutionary War fame
  • descendants of John Munro of Bristol, RI, ancestor of Marilyn Monroe
  • descendants of James Munro, Premier of Victoria in Australia
